Sandbox Solar installed a new heat pump in my house in December 2025. They got it scheduled and done on a tight timeline before the end of the year to capture the rebates. Justin and Jason provided good information and support to answer all my questions and "right-size" the best system for my house. The installers Tyler and Rowan did a fantastic job with the installation. They were knowledgeable, respectful, careful and thorough inside (and outside) my house and let me know what was happening every step of the way. They trained me on the operation and settings on the new thermostat. I am so happy with this new system which can heat and cool my home! I used Sandbox Solar several years ago to install solar panels and had a great experience then, so I knew I wanted to have them do the heat pump. The install went well and the few issues we have had were communicated and repaired by Dan and his team in a timely fasion and have held up. The app allows you to monitor the system. They have to make all the adjustments to the system, which requires a couple of calls, but not a major imposition. The system has worked flawlessly since its installation nearly two years ago without any call backs of any sort. They also installed an EV Charger in the garage last year that was also timely and professional. It's a good company to work with. The process from getting a quote, adjusting the layout based on pictures of my roof, and getting an honest opinion about the best value for me (not the most money for them) was smooth and much easier than I expected. Charles and his team installing the panels were professional and did quality work. I've had them for about 2 years with no issues yet; and they've endured some extreme winds that the siding panels on my house have not. I was estimated to produce about 2/3 of my power from solar, and with TOU rates from Xcel, have so far generated 100% of my cost (although this is likely to go down a bit now that the peak rate hours are 5-9pm instead of 3-7.) The only hiccup in the process was that there was a miscommunication between the on-site visit and the installation. The installers were not prepared for the height of my roof and did not have the appropriate ladders/lift. Because at the time it was more than a month to get on the schedule, I opted to have them carry the panels through the stairs inside to access the roof.
