Although we do have the prepay discount for all of our residential customers, we also understand that some homeowners may need to finance their system even after other incentives. But don’t let the idea of solar financing scare you. Instead, you can simply use it as another tool in your belt to keep your energy-efficient home improvement projects moving forward.

A notable option for financing is with the Colorado Renewable Energy Upgrade (RENU) loan. This loan is sponsored by Colorado Clean Energy Fund to help homeowners receive no-money down loans on up to 20-year terms with low, fixed interest rates to ensure you can invest in renewable energy upgrades more easily.

Curious what this could look like for your situation? Get in touch with our team today to start discussing the logistics of your project.

EXCELLENT Based on 266 reviews Posted on Liz Pruessner Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Sandbox Solar installed a new heat pump in my house in December 2025. They got it scheduled and done on a tight timeline before the end of the year to capture the rebates. Justin and Jason provided good information and support to answer all my questions and "right-size" the best system for my house. The installers Tyler and Rowan did a fantastic job with the installation. They were knowledgeable, respectful, careful and thorough inside (and outside) my house and let me know what was happening every step of the way. They trained me on the operation and settings on the new thermostat. I am so happy with this new system which can heat and cool my home! I used Sandbox Solar several years ago to install solar panels and had a great experience then, so I knew I wanted to have them do the heat pump. I recommend them highly and always prefer to use a local company if possible. Posted on David C Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was doing my own research on solar and found Sandbox Solar, though it took me a couple of years to make it work, I chose them. No pushy marketing or bashing the competition, just good information for the sale. When installation time came around the crews were professional, safe, thorough, and did a great job! Full marks for the sales and installation/electrical teams. Posted on G S Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Clay’s solar crew and Greg’s HVAC crew at Sandbox Solar were fantastic. They were respectful, professional, and worked really hard. You could tell they were proud of their work, and it shows in the final result. I didn’t expect to be this happy about getting solar and a heat pump, but they made it a great experience. Highly recommend. Posted on Brennan Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jon and Matt are great! We had a roof to get done and little time to detach the panels. I reached out to Sandbox and within MINUTES I received a quote and the guys were able to get out there the very next day. Don’t work with shady solar companies; Sandbox is the only place you need to look! Posted on Izzy Guard Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Clay's crew did an excellent job of installing the solar panels. They got the job done fast and were great with communicating about what was happening. Posted on Justin Anderson Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wanted solar for my new home and received quotes from three providers. Sandbox was the leader before I even saw the price. From the sale rep, quoting process, to the contract, payment options, and the overall interaction from everyone at Sandbox, I made the right decision and they were the best price. Everything has worked smoothly on the solar panels, the battery and the ev charger. I was so happy with my experience I had their new HVAC division install two humidifiers in my house. Posted on Jeff Everhart Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our solar system was installed a couple years ago and has worked out well. The install went well and the few issues we have had were communicated and repaired by Dan and his team in a timely fasion and have held up.
The app allows you to monitor the system. They have to make all the adjustments to the system, which requires a couple of calls, but not a major imposition. Posted on Scott Woods Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Charles and the team did a great installation including painting the conduit to match the existing trim on our newly painted home. The system has worked flawlessly since its installation nearly two years ago without any call backs of any sort. They also installed an EV Charger in the garage last year that was also timely and professional. It's a good company to work with. Posted on Kyle Moss Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a pretty positive experience getting 13 panels (5.2kW) installed by Sandbox. The process from getting a quote, adjusting the layout based on pictures of my roof, and getting an honest opinion about the best value for me (not the most money for them) was smooth and much easier than I expected. Charles and his team installing the panels were professional and did quality work. I've had them for about 2 years with no issues yet; and they've endured some extreme winds that the siding panels on my house have not. I was estimated to produce about 2/3 of my power from solar, and with TOU rates from Xcel, have so far generated 100% of my cost (although this is likely to go down a bit now that the peak rate hours are 5-9pm instead of 3-7.)

The only hiccup in the process was that there was a miscommunication between the on-site visit and the installation. The installers were not prepared for the height of my roof and did not have the appropriate ladders/lift. Because at the time it was more than a month to get on the schedule, I opted to have them carry the panels through the stairs inside to access the roof. Not a big deal, and the workers were careful and repaired the one ding in the drywall they did make.
