Meet our New Sandbox Solar CEO, Ian Skor
Over the summer Sandbox Solar has experienced a change in management. Former co-CEO Ian Skor has taken the reins of Sandbox Solar and is now the sole owner and CEO of the company. Starting with an old Subaru and tool box, Ian has worked his way from basic solar installer to creating and running his own premium solar company here in Fort Collins, Colorado. With vast experience in the solar industry and as an engineer, his focus is providing our community energy self-sufficiency. Therefore, Ian is taking Sandbox Solar to new heights by making solar more accessible to all while promoting the use of renewable energy. Additionally, Ian has been working hard on developing new and innovative technology in the field of Agrivoltaics. With self-sufficiency at the forefront of his mind, the opportunities are endless!
What is SPADE our Agrivoltaic Software?
Spade is an agrivoltaic software that helps farmers optimize the use of their land for solar energy production, agricultural practices, and water usage. By using data analytics and machine learning, the agrivoltaic software helps farmers identify the best locations for their solar panels. This determines the optimal panel placement to maximize energy production, maximize crop yield and minimize water usage. SPADE also provides farmers with real-time monitoring and analytics tools to track the performance of their solar panels.

Our New Sandbox Solar Headquarters!
Thanks to the ambition of new ownership, Sandbox Solar has upgraded our facilities to include a large office space attached to our new solar garage headquarters. This will allow for increased communication, teamwork, and company culture. In turn, feeding that energy directly into our community and the entire front range of Colorado. We are excited to continue growing our team of installers and along with the Sandbox Solar brand throughout COlorado and the entire country!

During the 2022 season, Sandbox Solar has had the opportunity to take on more installers and front office members, including an in-house marketing team. With three full install crews, additional electricians, and administrative staff, we have set ourselves up for success. Overall, as our company grows, we are confident we will continue to exceed ours and your expectations during the solar install process.
