Sandbox Solar believes community means everything! It’s the foundation of our culture, relationships, businesses, and growth. That’s why we love to give back by donating our time to community projects and outreach. Whether it’s teaching our community about solar power, or helping paint the inside of a Habitat For Humanity solar home, we’re all in! Without our communities support, Sandbox Solar would not be where it is today. So thank you, Northern Colorado!
Habitat For Humanity Solar Project – Sandbox Solar
Sandbox Solar has the pleasure of installing solar power for this St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity solar community in Longmont, Colorado. St. Vrain is currently building an entire community for future residents in need. With the help of Sandbox Solar, each house will be equipped with enough solar power to sustain each resident’s energy needs. Fun fact: in 2022, “Habitat for Humanity helped more than 7.1 million people build or improve a place called home.” (Habitat for Humanity). Sandbox Solar is honored to help contribute a small portion to this incredible effort. We are proud that Habitat for Humanity seeks to power these homes with sustainable solar power.
Sandbox Solar’s Day with Habitat for Humanity
In the midst of installing solar on the homes of this Habitat community, our team took a day to provide our services in other ways. This included painting, caulking, cleaning, and hammering inside a few of the homes that are still under construction. These are simple jobs, but none the less tiring and fulfilling! Here are a few words from our Marketing Coordinator, Aidan Muir, about the experience.
“What a fun time we had! The Habitat crew was very friendly and patient with us as we tried to switch occupations for the day. It is incredible the tasks and projects they take on, and inspiring to see local professionals donate their time day after day for such an important endeavor. We are very grateful to be able to help out today and to the Habitat employees for their hard work and dedication!”
