The Modern Homeownership Approach: Become Self-Sufficient
With the reliance on an aging grid shrinking, homeowners in are looking for new opportunities to improve and fully electrify home infrastructures.
Beyond Solar
Benefits of a Complete Energy Ecosystem
When you invest in a complete energy ecosystem for your home you can experience superior comfort, increased home value, and ultimate independence. But why do these systems work so well together?

Battery
The battery acts as a smart energy saver storing the free power you generate during the day to avoid blackouts and peak utility rates.

Why the Grid Is No Longer Enough
For decades, being connected to the grid was the goal but now connectivity has become a liability. Between the aging infrastructure and a digital world that never sleeps, the grid is under more pressure than it was ever designed to handle. True luxury and security in the modern age aren’t defined by being plugged in. They are defined by the ability to stand alone. A self-sufficient home isn’t just an environmental choice; it’s the ultimate hedge against an unpredictable future.
With the rise of Xcel Energy Public Safety Power Shutoffs, it’s more important than ever to have a system you can truly count on. So, why not incorporate a new system that feeds directly into your property? Solar panel installations paired with a battery energy storage system are your solution to a lasting energy supply. The grid can act as your backup energy source instead of your primary source since PV systems can be interconnected to the grid.
At the end of the day, you aren’t necessarily leaving the grid; you just don’t need to worry about last minute blackouts anymore.
Take Control by Owning Your Power
Beyond Electricity: The Heat Pump Advantage
The Cost of Waiting
Every year you wait to get solar is a year of utility price hikes that you could be avoiding. Plus, you also have self-reliance with a renewable energy source powering your home. Rationally speaking, there is no neutral ground. You are either investing in your own property’s future or you are subsidizing the utility company’s infrastructure. By choosing Sandbox+ Solar now, you aren’t just buying panels; you are ending a 20-year cycle of rising costs.
From Consultation to Completion
Initial Consultation
When you contact us, your local solar company, you will consult with one of our knowledgeable sales professionals to understand your energy needs, take a look at your roof’s layout, and evaluate your energy usage history to size the system accurately. We will discuss the different solar options you have, incentives you might be eligible for, and what to expect from the rest of our solar installation process.
Tailored System Design
That’s when we pass the solar array project off to our in-house system designers to create a tailored solution for your home. Our team will review the design plans to ensure your current electrical system can meet the demands of your solar panels.
Permitting and Approval
One good thing about working with our team is that we always try to make the paperwork and permitting process as easy for you as possible. We will talk to all of the necessary people so your solar panel system can be installed sooner than later.
Permission to Operate
The last step is getting a Permission to Operate (PTO). We can turn on your system soon as it passes the inspections and the paperwork is done. All you have to do is relax and enjoy being able to make your energy.
Interconnection Agreement
You will need to sign a utility interconnection agreement for your utility company before we start installing your solar panels. This ensures your new PV system can be grid-tied safely and appropriately so you can get credits for sending energy to the grid.
System Installation
Our solar installers will set up a time to put in your system after all the paperwork is approved. We will need access to your property throughout the installation, but rest assured we take care of your home like it’s our own.
City & County Inspections
We will need to set up an inspection with the city and county after the solar panels are installed and connected to your electrical system. This ensures everything is up to your local building codes and connected correctly.
