Solar United Neighbors | Broomfield

What is Solar United Neighbors Broomfield?

Solar United Neighbors is a non-profit organization that works with cities and communities across the country to help homeowners group together to get discount prices on home solar installations. Solar United Neighbors teamed up with The City of Broomfield earlier this year in an effort to get more residents to generate their own renewable solar energy. In doing so, the co-op attracted over 150 residents to participate in the program.

Broomfield Solar United Neighbors Cooperative

Sandbox Solar was the Exclusive SUN Broomfield Installer!

Once the Solar United Neighbors Broomfield group was organized, local Colorado solar installers could submit bids to become the group’s exclusive solar provider. Therefore, each solar installation company would be judged by leading members of the co-op on the installers prices, workmanship, values, and abilities. After long deliberation, the Broomfield community selected Sandbox Solar to be their exclusive solar installer for the Solar United Neighbors solar group-buying cooperative.

As a homegrown Norther Colorado solar installer, we are honored to be selected and recognized by our community for the value and quality work we offer our customers. All in all, it was a fantastic experience to get to work with the SUN non-profit and bring each of these new solar homeowners renewable energy and self-sufficiency!

What did the Broomfield Residents think of Sandbox Solar?

After the Solar United Neighbors Broomfield Co-Op was complete, we revisited some of our customers to get their thoughts! Check out the video at the top of the page. Here are some reviews from some of our SUN customers.

“Great price through the Broomfield COOP, great follow through, and answers to questions. Everything went ahead of schedule. Installation to Xcel turning on went great. There was only one small issue, and they resolved it the same day! Thank you to Justin, Efa, Charles, and Sam at Sandbox Solar!”

– Len, Energysage Review

“Everything is working perfectly. We are a net exporter of electric energy to Xcel! I am looking forward to seeing my Xcel utility bill go down, maybe even to zero someday, once I cap off the gas line. Eventually, the goal is to be completely energy self-sufficient, and I think that is possible with the system that Sandbox Solar has installed for me. The roof and electrical teams were courteous, personable, and professional. Working with the sales and administrative staff has been top-notch. The roofing team arrived on May 2nd. Xcel installed the new net meter and permitted me to operate on May 24th. That was just over three weeks from start to finish. Just amazing. I am very happy.”
