Two Rivers Community Solar
2.5MW-DC/2MW-AC Ground Mounted Array: 14 Acres, Powering ~500 Colorado homes, built with PVREA
Empowering Communities Through Sustainable Solar Energy
Advancing community resilience through large-scale solar solutions. Our collaboration with Poudre Valley Rural Energy Association (PVREA), demonstrates the impact that local energy provides for community resilience.
Strategic Utility Partnership for Clean Infrastructure
Partnering with Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association (PVREA), our team successfully designed and deployed a turnkey, front-of-the-meter photovoltaic array. This installation directly feeds clean power into the regional energy infrastructure, empowering the utility to deliver reliable, zero-emission electricity to the local community.
High-Performance Engineering and Technological Specs
Technical Details: Located directly adjacent to a PVREA-owned substation in Greeley, Colorado, we installed 2.5 MW AC of solar capacity on 14 acres of former oil and gas land. Equipped with 4144 Trina Solar (610W) modules reaching a DC capacity of 2.5MW. Paired with 16 Siemens Blueplanet (125kW) inverters reaching an AC capacity of 2MW, achieving an ideal DC/AC ratio of 2.5. Mounted on OMCO single-axis trackers that rotate 120 degrees east to west, harnessing the full power of the sun.
